Story
Sainte Marie's post-impressionist only celebrity painter Donna Harman was fatally poisoned by cyanide in her signature energy drink, but in a closed can in her equally locked-up studio. Around for a party were her silver-spoon lover and favorite Max Newman, her aspiring painter and PA Anthony Marcus, her sister and her agent, gallery keeper Patti Grenson. Each may have had motive, so checking the alibis is crucial, as well as the atypical painting recently bought by rich local Terry Minto. Jack ponders all and the MO while his romantic boat trip with Anna goes pear-shaped.
