Story
Roger informs Sheriff Jonas Carter of the attempt on his life. Upstairs, Vicki is trying to tutor David, but he is distracted as he contemplates matters of crime and punishment. As Vicki is called downstairs to give evidence, David is upset to learn the police are already in the house. David listens in as the adults discuss the case against Burke, and learns about the importance of fingerprints. Later, David makes a grab for the wrench that Carter is bringing in for evidence.
