Story
Rogers wife, Laura Murdoch Collins, comes to the house and informs Roger that she will not contest a divorce, wants no money or property from him, and will leave and return to Phoenix without a fight. She announces that all she wants from him is full custody of their son, David Collins, the last male heir of the Collins family. Immediately after she leaves, David rushes down the stairs, in a semi-sleepwalking state and runs out the front door. When they stop him, he wakes and says he had a bad dream about his mother.
