Story
In large port city Antwerp, an illegal stowaway from a diseased tropical country arrives by container and is taken in by a local mixed marriage family. Thus he starts spreading a highly contagious, fatal disease. It's discovered when a patient consults the nearby Belgian national institute for infectious diseases. Their staff quarantines itself and alerts the authorities to track down anyone who may have been infected, which can only happen by physical contact. Police commissioner Lex Faes is put in charge of the 'preventive' medical cordon around the neighborhood.Among those locked-in are his girlfriend, who reneged on moving in with him, and a primary school, which happened to visit the institute that very day. All kids are screened in hospital, except a boy who got detention although actually the victim of bullying.
