Story
Cheyenne is to be the best man at his friend Johnny McIntyre's wedding. Selma Dawson is set to marry Johnny, the foreman her father hired. Her kid brother Jasper doesn't like the "saddle tramp" but easy go lucky older brother Lafe does. On the road someone takes a shot at Cheyenne. In town Johnny and Lafe are having a two man bachelor party in the saloon while waiting for Cheyenne. Outside the saloon Elmer Bostrum tears down all the wanted posters and puts one up saying Cheyenne is wanted dead or alive for murder with a $2,000 reward. Bostrum takes the drunk Lafe outside and makes sure he sees the poster as Cheyenne arrives. Lafe fires at Cheyenne. When the drunk Johnny comes to help and accidentally kills Lafe in a dark alley, Cheyenne wants to know who's been taking potshots at him. The next day as Cheyenne and Johnny return the body to the Dawson ranch someone takes another shot at Cheyenne hitting Johnny in the arm. When they reach the ranch, Cheyenne wonders why Cyrus Dawson ...
