Story
Deputy U.S. Marshal Cheyenne Bodie is hired and sent to investigate the death of the local Sheriff and bring law and order to the town. He finds Mojave City lacking in civic-minded citizens except perhaps for Judge Pruett. One man, Nick Avalon, owns and runs the town. The railroad work stopped there but the workers are still being paid so there is a lot of money spent in Mojave City. When a Shakespearean troupe hired by Avalon comes to town, Cheyenne gets an idea of how he can clean up the town for good. His first idea is closing Avalon's saloon due to a law regarding the nearby Mojave Indian Reservation. When the idea backfires, he has to bring in water from the outside to keep the townsfolk from rioting. A beautiful member of the troupe, Jenny Girard, finds Quinn Lacy, the town's drunk piano player, who she has been looking for. He decides to become sober and a deputy but when he goes missing, Cheyenne decides to use a Shakespearian ploy to catch the killer.
