Story
The agency is hired by bail bondsman Harry Silvers, whose latest "bailer", Vic Devlin, bailed on him, despite the case against Devlin, a suspected thief, especially of jewels, being flimsy, meaning the high likelihood that he would have gotten off anyway. Silvers wants the Angels to bring Devlin back to Los Angeles - Devlin's recent movements showing that he is hiding out in Phoenix - so that Silvers can get his $50,000 bond back. As they cannot forcibly bring Devlin back as that would be kidnapping, Charlie suggests dangling some bait in front of him, namely attractive, wealthy and available women with lots to steal, Charlie unilaterally choosing Kris among the Angels as that bait. Kris' cover includes a Bel Air mansion, a vulnerable safe in the mansion being the ultimate bait Kris is to dangle in front of him.
