Story
Charlie is informed by John Kamden, a WWII colleague who led a special intelligence unit in the war, that four of his unit colleagues have been murdered in quick succession, meaning that Kamden is probably next as the last murder occurred in nearby San Diego. Kamden hires Charlie and the Angels not only to find out who the assassin is, but to protect him from befalling the same fate as his unit colleagues. Charlie provides the name of another old war colleague, now going by the assumed name Janine Manchand, she a member of the French underground at the time, who may be able to shed some light on the matter. Indeed, Manchand is able to tell the Angels that the assassinations have all the hallmark of being carried out my a man known in the war under the code name Jericho, who worked freelance for the Allied forces. The Angels are able to locate Jericho, who does seemingly have his sights on Kamden, but proving that he did anything wrong is another matter. What may be complicating ...
