Story
Alberto Ruiz and son Carlos are fleeing a posse when Alberto's horse goes lame. He takes Carlos's horse with plans to meet Carlos in Tucson. Carlos is later found wandering in the desert by Victoria. Although he is unwilling to cooperate with the Cannons, Victoria wants to keep him at the ranch although Big John suggests sending him to the orphanage. Victoria thinks he should go to school and stay with a family in Tucson. They find him a family but there is no school teacher. Victoria decides to take the job for a month until a new teacher arrives. Carlos does well in school changing his feelings as he learns about the US. However, one boy in the school knows his background and continues to hound him about his dad hanging. Alberto does eventually find Carlos in Tucson wanting him to return to Mexico with him. However, Carlos wishes to stay and continue in school. Alberto decides to take him and kidnap Victoria for ransom. He sends Blue with a demand for $1000 but Blue decides to take ...
