Story
That Darrin has decided to take the morning off to play a round of golf only supports Endora's claim to Samantha that he is ambitionless. Why it bothers Endora is that she believes he can't afford to buy Samantha the finer things in life, as witnessed by the fact that they still live in the same house they did when they got married, the house now with a dishwasher seemingly on its last legs with Samantha needing to do manual housework to live. So without Samantha or Darrin's knowledge, Endora places a spell on him to make him the king of ambition when it comes to his job. It does seem to reap positive rewards with regard to the Bob Braddock account, which Larry wants Darrin to take over. But that ambition also works its way internally within McMann & Tate, where the next logical step in the corporate ladder for Darrin is Larry's job.
