Story
Psychotherapist Dr. Pieter Dol is found by his gardener, shot two days earlier in chest and genitals. Mental patient Robert van Loon, found wondering and rejoicing 'He's dead!' turns out a mere pathological liar. Pieter's son Sander, a charming ICT expert, says neither he nor his emigrated sister saw dad in months, but leaves out having installed a word processor at his home. E-mails play a part in discovering a web of allegations and suspicions concerning rival therapist Dr. Bram de Graaf, lawyer Edwin Schipper, who defends men accused of sex crimes and was attacked with the same weapon, and true or alleged abuse victims, one of which has a brother with a record for violent crime. But the Dol family also has its own skeletons.
