Story
Port Headland Mayor Kelly Howlett commissioned Dof Dickinson to make a documentary to raise the profile of the endangered Flatback Turtle. With only meagre funds on offer, Dickinson soon found that her growing passion for the Flatbacks was outstripping the budget - but she was hooked. After a cost over-run of more than twenty times, Dickinson and her team produced a stunning film which captures not only the lives of the turtles, but that of the people swept up in the passion and joy. In the process of making the film, Dof Dickinson also discovered one of the causes of the loss of turtle habitat and is now on a mission to find a solution.
