Story
Widowed bank investment counselor Jean is found down his staircase with a fatal head wound, but the apparent fall was staged. Van In lives alone since Hannelore confessed her adultery. He collaborates professionally with magistrate Guy Van Steenkiste, whom she cheated with, but she foolishly gets herself assigned to the case. Jean has at least one lover, the baker's wife.
