Story
Van In simply accepts new detective Dirk Vereecke, a former motor cop but the only reinforcement commissioner De Kee could get, De Maegd however is furious to be bossed around and out-staged by a cocky probie. Geert pre-teen Beynens's daughter is missing, presumably kidnapped exactly the same way as Bert Wellens's girl, but the police treated him as prime suspect until his wife committed suicide. A delivery truck fitting both cases suggests that company's ex-con driver Bart Van Brussel as prime suspect, but he has an airtight alibi. Observant De Maegd finds a problematic witness.
