Story
Medical examiner Vanmaele keeps quiet suspiciously long when his adulterous lover Angelique's husband Armand Verbeeck is found skull smashed, his safe robbed. Armand as an incompetent businessman, who lost the parts of father's inheritance he kept, under a tax deal, unlike his fines-ruined siblings Victor and Hilde, who bribed his cleaning lady Anna Claes as spy, but she helped herself. Vanmaele's unfinished autopsy, being taken from the case, seems to have messed up his and other alibis.
