Story

Re-imagining the Oscar Nominated adapted screenplay of "Up in the Air" by Jason Reitman and Sheldon Turner, which tells the story of Ryan Bingham, a happily, unmarried man who fires people for a living, flying all over the world on contract to do so. His views are challenged by Natalie, a young graduate who brings his boss an idea: firing people over video conference.. The screenplay was written as a reaction to the 2008 mortgage crisis and was relevant to read again with the recent furloughs and job losses that took place in 2020, because of the pandemic.
