Story
The Commonwealth Games is meant to be a time for celebration. Businesses on the Gold Coast were promised the games would boost the local economy, however they claim it is the worst downturn in trade they have experienced in five years, and have blamed GOLDOC chairman Peter Beattie for scaring away locals and tourists from the area. The normally busy Gold Coast is now a "ghost town", as shops, hotels, cafes, and restaurants face financial ruin, and have begun laying off staff.
