Story
Mustapha Kara-Ali marches to the beat of his own drum, and believes his Muslim group should be able to claim religious and charitable immunity from Australian law. The courts disagreed, but the self-styled Islamic leader has no intention of following their judgements. The Land and Environment Court ordered Kara-Ali to dismantle all structures on his property, however he has instead pressed on with development, insisting Australian laws do not apply to him.
