Story
Hiring a tradie you've never used before can be nerve-wracking, and it's even worse when you realize you've been taken for a ride. NSW Fair Trading is investigating several customer complaints against the Plumbing Detectives, which also operates in Melbourne and Brisbane. There are claims many customers are being charged excessive call-out fees and double the amount to have repairs done to pipes. Detectives director Belal Dassouki and co-director Mahmoud Sayadi have also been accused of ripping-off the elderly. They have also been operating under the names Electrical Detectives and Aircon Detectives.
