Story
Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull discusses the proposed new Commonwealth national surveillance and detention laws. The government is being seen to do everything in its power to keep the risk of a terror attack low. Part of these new laws includes using facial recognition technology, however as pointed out by host Tracy Grimshaw, unless face coverings such as the burqa and niqab are banned, this technology wont be effective.
