Story
Big W is facing a customer backlash after removing the word "Christmas" from their Christmas tree range. There are threats to boycott the store in what many see as political correctness gone mad. The retail giant removed all mention of the holiday from its range of trees, with the traditional tree now called a Grand Pine Tree, the snow-coloured version a White Forest Tree, with other styles including the Black Forest Tree, Mayfair Tree and Atlanta Tree. While the packaging is decorated with images of candy canes and mistletoe, the word Christmas has been omitted.
