Story
Terence tells Alex of his intention to give up medicine and take up farming full time. Esme finds it difficult entertaining a nine-year-old computer whiz. Terence is refusing to involve himself in hospital affairs, much to Alex and Maggie's frustration. A woman finds it hard to get a straight answer on her new-born baby's condition and jumps to the wrong conclusion that her daughter has died. Alex argues with Terence and forces him to go to the hospital. Once there he continues his "discussion" with Maggie and finally comes to his senses. He explains to Alex that he was frightened of getting involved with people's personal problems after Sophie's death.
