Story
Cathy Hayden is offered a job in far-away Kakadu, but hesitates when palaeontologist John Freeman arrives in the Valley. Lachlan Morrison, a patient in the hospital, worries about Maggie Sloan's workload. Cathy is instantly attracted to John Freeman and the feeling appears to be mutual. Lachlan and Matron Sloan find that they are share a common interest in gambling and horses. With Shirley away, Frank is bored, so he seeks the company of Cris and Terence but too many cooks spoil the broth. Lucy's concerns for the environment and her pocket extend to a replacement for her dead car.
